ACHIEVEMENTS/AWARDS

  1. Dr. Shashank Tyagi, Professor & Head, Department of Biochemistry was elected as the 1st President of Society of Biological Scientist of India. This Society is running a Bi-annual Indexed Publication in the name and Style of "Journal of Advance Researches in Biological Science" in which Dr. Shashank Tyagi is Editor-In-Chief and Dr. Manisha Arora, Associate Professor, Deparatment of Biochemistry is Executive Editor.

2. The Department of Biochemistry is conducting Research work under the supervision of Dr. Shashank Tyagi, leading to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medical Biochemistry, 02 students have already submitted their Thesis to C.C.S. University, Meerut for the award of Degree. 

3. Dr. Shashank Tyagi, Professor & Head, Department of Biochemistry was the Chairman of an Academic Session during 3rd International Conference on "Genetic and Molecular Diagnosis in Modern Medicine and Biology (GMDMMB)-2010 at Yenepoya University, Manglore. 

4. Dr. Pawan Goel, Associate Professor of Community Medicine, Dr. Saurabh Yadav, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, Dr. Vinod Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, Dr. Arvind Kumar Singh, AssistantProfessor of  Community Medicine and Dr. Khursheed Mujammil, Assistant Professor Department of Community Medicine are the Guide to the different projects run by  different final year MBBS students. The projects are financed by Indian Council of Medical Research.  Dr. Nirankar singh, Assistant Professor of Community Medicine is the Investigator of two projects by Govt. of India. 

5. Dr. S.K. Sharma, Professor & Head, Department of Medicine has been elected as Chairman of API/UP chapter Lucknow. 

6. Dr. Uma Garg, Associate Professor, Department of ENT, remained as a Panelist on discussion in UPCON-2009 and USAOI-2010  She also chaired a Session on FESS in AOICON-2010 at Bombay.

 7. Dr. Parvez Ahmed, Associate Professor, Department of Orthopedics was awarded Gold Medal for his paper presented in Annual Conference of Indian Orthopedic Rheumatoid Arthritis Association in 2009 at LLRM Meddical College, Meerut.
